Tuesday 16 December The Desert Dash was again a fanatastic event. The weather was great with a light drizzle and overcast dat. The night stayed rather dark with all the riders using all lights available. The clouds had shut out the full moon.! One great thing about the rain and ‘mud’ was that there was very little dust. With the rains that had fallen the previous days the route was more challenging with riders having to cycle through two runners rivers! In Namibia? We ask you! It was great! Congratulations to Mannie Heymanns who won for the second time doing it solo, arriving in Swakop at about 4 in the morning. To all the other participants and there back up crew, well done!
