Record number of entries for the Nedbank Challenge

The 2nd Nedbank MTB challenge saw a record number of entries with 176 entries for the 40km route and 197 entries for the 15km route giving a total of 373 riders compared to the 291 entries of 2011. The rainstorm on Friday afternoon caused some panic at registration and the organisers was getting worried about the route being washed away. Saturday morning was just perfect for mountainbiking with cool, overcast conditions and lots of traction on the wet trails. The 40km route was tough but was enjoyed by most riders.

Dagbreek school is looking for unwanted bicycles that they can fix and use for the kids. Put a smile on a kids face and take that old bike lying under a pile of boxes in the garage and drop it off at the school. They will love fixing and riding it.

The 2nd Nedbank MTB Challenge will take place on 18 February. NEW! - We've asked Racetec to do the timing for the event. You'll be able to use your Racetec timing chip (same one as for the Argus etc) or buy/rent one at registration. Now updated with route maps

For 2012 we have tried to make the membership options less confusing and easier to administrate. There's only 3 options: Rider, Rider U18, Non-rider. The different membership options and the fees are described below. Download a membership form and once completed please drop it off at your local bike shop or email it to us.
